Want Unique Senior Photos in a Ghost Town?

Do you like Ghost Towns? I do. This is my second time photographing at this awesome location. I could photograph here for weeks and still get unique photos. Just imagine how awesome your senior portraits would be taken at a location like this!
First of all, a little history about this Ghost Town. The town of Nelson was originally called Eldorado by the Spaniards in 1775, who discovered gold in the area. Then, a hundred years later, prospectors and minors established the notorious Techatticup Mine in Eldorado Canyon.

Shortly past Nelson, is the private property owned by Tony and Bobbie Werly, which is a historical landmark. Here you will see old buildings, rusty old vehicles, and items such as old road and gas signs, and even old mining equipment. Since they are constantly adding new things, you always have something new to see every time you visit.

Awesome Senior Portraits in a Ghost Town

We started off with my beautiful model Allyson in her long blue dress.

Here we had fun photographing with an antique car inside a garage.

And some more old and cool vehicles…

This location has so much more than just old vehicles though – including all sorts of old props and backgrounds. They are constantly adding to their collection and building new buildings to house these items.

Here, Allyson had fun with an old piano that was outside. I would love to have this piano as a prop for my own studio – maybe someday!

One of my photo goals this time was get get some images with the cool cactus in the background.

And for her 2nd outfit, Allyson changed into a very colorful flowery dress with a light brown leather coat.

Here is an old gas pump and coca cola cooler that I would also love to have.

And for the third and final outfit, Allyson changed into a bright yellow 50s dress with a white belt. Since the large barn was very dark inside with deep browns, the shiny gold dress really stood out! Wouldn’t you agree?

Next, we moved to the popular location of the mountain with a crashed WWII plane.

And finally, we ended the photo session with some images in the road.

In conclusion, I would like to thank Allyson for being such a great model and sharing the experience with me!
